Emergency Procedures
Parents will be contacted using our automated system. Each teacher/student/employee/visitor is responsible to remember two procedures.
1) Shelter in place procedure
Shelter in Place means to stay where you are if you are inside a building. If you are outside make sure to look for adults that are going to guide you to a safe place.
- Teachers secure all doors and windows
- Students take refuge next to their desks
- Teachers place Accountability Board by window
- Teachers place a red card for missing and a green card if all students are accounted for
- Students and teacher remain in a shelter in place mode until given further instructions by the PA system or face to face
- Office personnel will contact parents with information and instructions
Your teacher will take you outside and we will leave the classrooms.
- Line up for evacuation
- Teacher takes Accountability Board from wall
- Teachers and students proceed to evacuation area
- Teacher displays red card for missing and green for all students accounted for
- Students and teacher remain at the pre-assigned evacuation area until given further instructions by the PA system or face to face
- Parents are contacted by office personnel
