Emergency Procedures

Parents will be contacted using our automated system. Each teacher/student/employee/visitor is responsible to remember two procedures.

1) Shelter in place procedure
Shelter in Place means to stay where you are if you are inside a building. If you are outside make sure to look for adults that are going to guide you to a safe place.
  • Teachers secure all doors and windows
  • Students take refuge next to their desks
  • Teachers place Accountability Board by window
  • Teachers place a red card for missing and a green card if all students are accounted for
  • Students and teacher remain in a shelter in place mode until given further instructions by the PA system or face to face
  • Office personnel will contact parents with information and instructions
2) Evacuation:
Your teacher will take you outside and we will leave the classrooms.
  • Line up for evacuation
  • Teacher takes Accountability Board from wall
  • Teachers and students proceed to evacuation area
  • Teacher displays red card for missing and green for all students accounted for
  • Students and teacher remain at the pre-assigned evacuation area until given further instructions by the PA system or face to face
